A little more of
the story.....My
private sector, academic, and federal government positions have involved management, business development, program design,
proposal writing, technical coordination, planning and execution of field operations, preparation of education curricula,
data analysis and report writing. I have over thirty years of hands-on experience with a spectrum of seafloor
mapping systems, including AUVs, ROVs, navigation, side scan sonar, sub bottom profilers, multi-beams, ADCPs, and magnetometers.
I can translate the operation of any marine technology to effective experiential learning modules and deliver that training
to operators or other trainers. I am also adept at providing non-technical presentations to program managers to describe
how technologies can benefit their business.
There is no aspect of Marine Science that I cannot grasp or get up to speed in short order. I’ve
got a broad knowledge of current marine and undersea technology that includes exploration and monitoring methods. As an academic,
a federal employee, and in the private sector I’ve written hundreds of proposals, managed an equal number of programs,
designed and executed complicated exploration operations.
